I've have a pair of plain canvas Toms for a year now and I love them! I now have an additional two pairs of Toms. I find them to be very comfortable and convenient! I've also been pleasantly surprised that you don't get a case of swamp-foot wearing them. From the mainland to Hawaii to Singapore you feet really do stay dry.
I've washed my original Toms now several times and have gotten most of the stains (including red wine) out of them, but they still have that dingy look. And, to be honest, when I bought the plain pair I thought I could always spruce them up a little later. Well that time has come!
As you may know, I have a mild obsession with anchors that started with a love of water, was fed by joining Delta Gamma and has gone full-throttle when I became a Navy wife. They are a symbol of my life and well just a darn good design! So naturally when it came to my Toms make-over, anchors popped into my head.
First I started with some hand painted stripes. Thanks to the design of the Toms there is a guideline for any free-hand work!
Then I added vintage anchor buttons (purchased off eBay) and a red anchor. And voilĂ ! I now have anchor Toms!
P.S.- It is a lot harder to hold your feet up in the air while 7 months pregnant!

28 Weeks and Baby Bowl.
Finally!! The third trimester is here! I'm so excited that we have made it to this point. Now I need to get serious about my nursery projects; though I am not doing much here because the whole family will be moving this summer. The full nursery will have to wait for the next place. However, I still have things to do and time is getting shorter.
Here is my bump picture update. I can't believe this belly belongs to me, it surprises me sometimes. haha.
This also brings me to the "Baby Bowl!" We are doing a pool and collecting guesses for the nugget's arrival date. I will give you all the facts and details below for your best guess.
How to Enter: Email me or post a comment to this blog below with date and time (Hawaii time - remember am/pm). The time will be used as a tie-breaker.
So guess away ya'll. I can't wait to see who got it right. Make sure to let me know by May 8th. I will post all guesses at that time!

Some facts to consider about the Nugget.
- His due date is June, 8th 2012
- I've been told a few times that he is "big"
- Both the hubs and I were early babies. He was three weeks and I was two weeks early.

Turtle Bay Resort.
This past weekend the Hubs and I took a trip up to the North Shore. We stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort, which you might recognize a little bit because they did a lot of filming there for "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." We really enjoyed our getaway there, even as short as it was. It wasn't as fancy as I was expecting, but that ok. The hotel is located on a point and is designed so most rooms are water front. We faced the point and could hear all the waves. We made sure to sleep with the balcony open.
We had a couples massage in a cabana next to the ocean. It was so serene to hear the waves crash as we relaxed. We also had a lovely dinner on the beach front, our table was set on the sand. Oh so beachy!
We took a walk around the grounds and found a hammock garden. That was wonderful and the Hubs fell asleep swinging in the breeze. You might remember these suites from the movie.

27 Weeks.
Just a quick update with my newest belly picture!
On a side note, last week I passed a homeless man hanging outside of Starbucks and he gave me some words of encouragement. "Happy pushing, Honey!" The hubs thought it was hilarious.

25 Weeks.
OK, so I'm an entire week late getting this up, but it was taken last week. I will try really really hard to get a picture for the 26 week (today) up tomorrow. I need to wait for the Hubs to come take my picture.
According to my weekly pregnancy emails the baby is now the size of a head of lettuce. I guess I can see that! haha! More excitingly, the Hubs can feel that little head of lettuce moving around!
Night Shots.
The moon is amazing here, intensely bright. So bright that I really pull the curtains down to keep the moonlight from shinning on our faces. It has woken me up before. So a few full moons ago the Hubs woke up and took pictures in the middle of the night. Here is what he got, I like it.
You can even see a few stars here.
When I asked him about this one he said he sneezed, lol.
I can't help but play with the images.
